Hunting Hills Swim Club Launches “Sustain the Splash” Campaign to Preserve Historic Community Pool

Hunting Hills Swim Club, one of Catonsville’s most cherished community landmarks, has launched Sustain the Splash, a member-led campaign to fund essential pool improvements and preserve the club’s historic legacy for future generations.
Founded in 1958, Hunting Hills Swim Club holds a unique place in American history as the first private member-owned pool in the United States to open its doors to all families, symbolizing inclusion and neighborly connection during an era of segregation.
“For over 65 years, Hunting Hills has been more than just a pool; it’s a summer home built and sustained by generations of members,” said the Board of Directors. “Sustain the Splash is about protecting that spirit of community and ensuring that the next generation inherits a safe, welcoming, and thriving place to gather.”
The campaign seeks to raise funds for critical resurfacing, system repairs, and facility upgrades that will improve safety, energy efficiency, and accessibility. Every contribution, big or small, helps keep membership affordable, supports family activities, and ensures the club remains a cornerstone of the Catonsville community.
While Hunting Hills Swim Club operates as a 501(c)(7) nonprofit, and contributions are not tax-deductible, members and friends can still make a meaningful impact by giving through the club’s secure ClubExpress portal. A 2.99% transaction fee applies to all online donations.

The club will host an All-Member Meeting on November 22, 2025, to provide updates, answer questions, and share the next phase of the campaign with its membership. While the meeting is for members only, the broader community is encouraged to follow the campaign’s progress online and support future improvement initiatives.
